How does this automation work?
Bardeen's Playbook for YouTube to Airtable integration automates the process of capturing video details for content creators, marketers, and data analysts who utilize YouTube data for various projects. This workflow automatically extracts details from the currently opened YouTube video and stores them in an Airtable base, making data management more efficient and centralized.
Here's how this workflow saves YouTube video details to Airtable:
- Step 1: Scrape YouTube video details - The Scraper is used to extract details from the currently active YouTube video tab. This is done using Bardeen's custom scraper template for YouTube video details, ensuring all relevant data is captured.
- Step 2: Save to Airtable - The extracted YouTube video details are then added to an Airtable base of your choice. You'll need to specify the Airtable base where you want to store this data, enabling you to organize and manage video information effectively.

Let’s set it up!
Step 1: Create an Airtable
The first step is to create an Airtable with all the YouTube video information you want to save.
Bardeen will extract information from the currently opened YouTube video and save information like video title, video description, channel name, channel link, subscribers, number of views, number of comments, and number of likes. It will then save all this information to your Airtable that you specified once the setup is complete.
Step 2: Install the extension and run the playbook
You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Airtable.
Click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to get this automation saved to your Playbooks.
Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on PC on your keyboard) and click on the playbook card. The setup flow will start.
You will be asked to specify the Airtable that you created in Step #1. After you choose the database, you will get a prompt to map the information to the fields in Airtable.
The left side consists of all the fields Bardeen will scrape for you. On the right side, specify the fields in Airtable that you want to associate with the information on the left. If you don’t want a piece of information, leave that field empty, and it will be skipped. That’s it!
Click on “Save Input” and checkmark Airtable. You can edit Inputs later by hovering over the playbook.
