How does this automation work?
Bardeen's playbook "Save current tab to Notion" is a simple yet powerful tool for enhancing your personal productivity. It captures the information from your current browser tab and saves it directly into your Notion workspace. Notion is an all-in-one workspace designed to consolidate your work apps into a single, manageable platform. This workflow is ideal for content curation, research documentation, and saving references without the hassle of manually copying and pasting URLs.
Here's how this workflow can effortlessly capture information from your browser to Notion:
- Step 1: Capture Current Tab - Bardeen retrieves the details of the currently focused browser tab, ensuring that the tab you are actively viewing is the one being saved.
- Step 2: Create Notion Page - The information from the captured tab is used to create a new page within a specified Notion database, allowing you to organize your web findings effectively.
How to run the playbook
Save the currently opened tab to Notion with one click.
Step 1: Set up a resources database in Notion
First, you will need to set up a Notion database for useful links and resources. Alternatively, you can duplicate our pre-built database that we designed for this use case. When you run the playbook on your currently opened tab, Bardeen will get information like Tab title, URL, and Website Icon.
Step 2: Pin the Playbook and integrate Notion
Click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to get this Playbook saved to your playbooks.
Then we need to map data from Bardeen's Scraper to Notion.
To do this, hover over the playbook card and “Open Playbook in Builder.”
From here, customize the “Action 2: Add Notion page” action. Enter your Notion database and map the data fields using “custom field mapping.”
Save the playbook and close the builder.
Step 3: Run the Playbook to save current tab to Notion
Click on the Playbook card when you want to save the current tab to Notion. One click and boom! Watch the magic happen.
