Save current page's Youtube channel about info page to Coda
This is a Bardeen playbook. It's a pre-built automation template you can run in one-click to perform a repetitive task. Get started with our free Chrome extension.
How does this automation work?
With this Bardeen playbook, you can automatically capture a YouTube channel's about info and save it directly to your Coda document. This automation is perfect for marketing professionals and researchers who are looking to gather data on various YouTube channels without the manual hassle of copying and pasting. It's an efficient way to compile a rich database of channel information that can support competitive analysis, influencer outreach, or content strategy development.
Here's how this workflow saves a YouTube channel's about information to Coda:
- Step 1: Scrape YouTube Channel About Info - The Scraper is used to collect data from the currently open YouTube channel's About page. With the YouTube Profile scraper template, it extracts the necessary channel information without the need for coding.
- Step 2: Add Data to Coda - The information scraped from YouTube is then added to a specified table in your Coda document. Coda is a powerful tool that combines documents, spreadsheets, and applications into a single workspace, making it ideal for organizing your research and marketing data.
How to run the playbook
Getting all the information out of a YouTube channel's "about" info page can be a pain. This automation will help you. It will scrape data from the YouTube channel’s “About” page and save it to a Coda table. That way, you can have all the information in one place without ever copying and pasting data.
Step 1: Pin the playbook and integrate Coda
You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Coda.
Click on the playbook card, and the setup flow will start.
You will be asked to specify a Coda doc and a Coda table. After you choose your database, you will get a prompt to map the information to the fields in Coda.
The left side consists of all the fields Bardeen will scrape for you. On the right side, specify the fields in Coda that you want to associate with the information on the left. If you don’t want a piece of information, leave that field empty, and it will be skipped. That’s it!
Click on “Save Input” and checkmark Coda. You can edit Inputs later by hovering over the playbook.
Step 2: Run the playbook
Whenever you come across a YouTube channel info page that you want to save, activate Bardeen (or hit OPTION + B on your keyboard) and click to run the playbook. It will scrape all the information and add it to your Coda table.
