Get text from an image in Dropbox and translate it
This is a Bardeen playbook. It's a pre-built automation template you can run in one-click to perform a repetitive task. Get started with our free Chrome extension.
How does this automation work?
Bardeen's workflow leverages powerful OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and translation technology to extract text from an image stored in Dropbox and translate it to a language of your choice. This automation is especially useful for professionals who work with multilingual documents and need to quickly understand content without manual data entry or language barriers.
Here's how this workflow processes an image from Dropbox and translates the text:
- Step 1: Retrieve image from Dropbox - Bardeen finds a specific image file in your Dropbox by matching the file name you provide. Dropbox is a cloud storage service that allows you to access files from anywhere.
- Step 2: Extract text from image - The OCR command is used to extract readable text from the chosen image file. This text will be the input for the translation.
- Step 3: Translate text - The extracted text is then translated to your target language using DeepL, known for its high-quality translations. You will need to specify the target language for the translation process.
How to run the playbook
Have you ever received an image with text that you couldn't understand? Maybe it was in a foreign language, or maybe the handwriting was just too messy to read. With this automation, you can easily extract the text from any image in your Dropbox account and translate it to your desired language.
It uses BardeenAI to get text from an image that is saved in Dropbox, helping you quickly extract the text from the image and translate it to your target language, making it easier than ever to read and understand.
This can save valuable time and effort, and also eliminate the risk of human error in the transcription and translation process. Whether you are a small business owner, a freelancer, or a large corporation, this automation can help you access the information you need quickly.
