Get action items from any selected text with OpenAI and create Notion Items
This is a Bardeen playbook. It's a pre-built automation template you can run in one-click to perform a repetitive task. Get started with our free Chrome extension.
How does this automation work?
Bardeen's automation playbook leverages OpenAI to identify action items from any selected text and seamlessly creates corresponding tasks in Notion. By simply highlighting text and activating the workflow, you can capture action items from meeting notes, research, or any webpage content. This allows you to organize your to-dos and ensure important tasks are noted and tracked within your Notion workspace.
Here is a step-by-step breakdown of how this workflow processes selected text into Notion action items:
- Step 1: Trigger on selected text - Right click on a page after you select the text to activate the Bardeen playbook. It captures the highlighted text as input for the next step.
- Step 2: Extract selected text - The Scraper extracts the selected text on the current page to be processed by OpenAI for action items identification.
- Step 3: Identify action items with OpenAI - OpenAI's model analyzes the text to list detected action items. These identified tasks will be used to create entries in your Notion database.
- Step 4: Create Notion items - Each action item identified by OpenAI is added as a new page to a specified Notion database, organizing your tasks effectively.
