Generate tasks from selected text and add them to Asana, when I right-click
This is a Bardeen playbook. It's a pre-built automation template you can run in one-click to perform a repetitive task. Get started with our free Chrome extension.
How does this automation work?
Efficient task management is crucial for personal productivity and product development. Bardeen offers a solution that leverages OpenAI to identify actionable items within text and directly create tasks in Asana. This automation caters to professionals looking to streamline their task creation process from any text source, such as meeting notes or project documentation, without the hassle of manual input.
Here's how this workflow generates tasks from selected text and adds them to Asana:
- Step 1: Trigger from Right-Click - Initiate the workflow by right-clicking on a webpage. Bardeen will capture the selected text and use OpenAI to determine action items present within it.
- Step 2: Identify Action Items with OpenAI - The text is processed by OpenAI to list actionable items. These identified tasks are prepared to be added to your specified Asana project.
- Step 3: Create Task in Asana - Each action item is automatically turned into a new task in Asana, allowing you to track and manage your work efficiently.
How to run the playbook
Context switching and app switching can be major productivity killers. It's easy to get derailed when we have to stop what we're doing and switch to a completely different task. However, there are times when we encounter things that we want to remind ourselves to do later. This can be especially challenging when we're in the middle of something else and don't want to lose our momentum.
This automation converts the selected text into a task, and creates a task in Asana with the content.

By utilizing automation tools such as this, you can significantly enhance your efficiency and effectiveness in your work. This will enable you to work more productively and ultimately achieve superior results with confidence.
