How does this automation work?
Efficient communication within a team is crucial for the smooth operation of any business. Sharing resources quickly and effortlessly can save time and enhance collaboration. Bardeen's playbook, "Send the current page URL in Slack," allows you to instantly share the URL of the web page you are viewing with your team on Slack. This is particularly useful for meetings and discussions where sharing reference materials on the fly is needed.
Here's how this workflow simplifies sending URLs in Slack:
- Step 1: Get current page URL - The workflow begins by capturing the URL of the page you are currently visiting, ensuring that you share exactly what you're looking at with your team.
- Step 2: Concatenate message with URL - Next, Bardeen combines any text you want to include with the URL, creating a complete message for Slack. You will be prompted to input the message you wish to send along with the URL.
- Step 3: Send Slack message - Finally, the combined message and URL are sent to a specified Slack channel or user. This step requires you to indicate the recipient within Slack.
How to run the playbook
Whether sharing important content, funny memes or valuable resources with your team, copying and pasting URLs is an inevitable part of communicating in Slack.
This automation will eliminate copying and pasting and send the currently opened tab directly to Slack with a shortcut. It allows you to quickly send the URL of your current page to a Slack user or Channel. You can also add a custom message before the link.
This automation will help you coordinate your plans, stay organized and streamline your communication.
