- Step 2: Extract email address - The workflow then converts the located lead's name into an email address format for further use.
- Step 3: Enrich with Clearbit - Using the email obtained, Bardeen enriches the lead's data with social media profiles through Clearbit's data API.
- Step 4: Scrape LinkedIn profile - The LinkedIn profile is identified using a custom Scraper template and the data is collected in the background.
- Step 5: Process LinkedIn data - The scraped LinkedIn data is processed to isolate specific information that will be used to update the Salesforce record.
- Steps 6-9: Additional processing - Further data processing steps are carried out to refine the information before updating the Salesforce lead.

Let’s set it up!
Step 1: Pin the playbook and integrate Salesforce
First, click the “Pin it” button at the top of this page to save this automation. You will be redirected to install the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Salesforce. This will allow you to update a contact’s information with one click.
Activate Bardeen (or hit Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on PC on your keyboard) and click on the playbook card. The setup flow will start.
Bardeen will ask for the Salesforce lead’s name.
You can click on “Save Input” and checkmark the name if you want. This will save you time from setup in the future. You can edit Inputs later by hovering over the playbook.
Step 2: Run the playbook to enrich and update a Salesforce lead’s record
When you want to update a Salesforce contact’s information by getting additional information from their LinkedIn profile, press Option + B on Mac or ALT + B on PC on your keyboard to launch Bardeen. Click on the playbook card and run the playbook.
It will use the contact’s email address to find the LinkedIn profile. It will then get and update additional information from LinkedIn, like the contact’s title and phone number, and update the Salesforce contact record with this information.
If any additional information is found by Bardeen and Clearbit, it will be reflected in the lead’s Salesforce record.
