Create a Jira ticket from the current email thread

This playbook will create a Jira ticket issue from the currently opened Gmail thread.

Go to an email thread in Gmail and run this playbook.

A Jira issue will be created. You need to specify the project name and the issue type, whereas the issue name and description will be created automatically:

• Jira project = specified by the user
• Issue type = specified by the user
• Issue name = email subject line
• Issue description = email body

Step 1: Set up the automation and integrate Jira and Gmail

Click the “Try it” button at the top of this page to get this Playbook saved.

You will be redirected to download the browser extension when you run it for the first time. Bardeen will also prompt you to integrate Google Mail and Jira if you haven't done so previously.

Bardeen will then prompt you to select the email label, enter the Jira task list and the due date as well as assignee for the task.

Step 2: Run the automation to create Jira ticket from email

Press Option + B on Mac or Alt + B on a Window machine on your keyboard to launch Bardeen.
