Bardeen's automation playbook lets you effortlessly create tasks in ClickUp from any webpage you're browsing. This capability is ideal for business professionals and researchers who need to quickly capture information from the web and integrate it into their project management workflow. With this tool, you can automatically extract key elements like page summaries, titles, and links, ensuring that you never miss important content for follow-up or team collaboration.

Here's how this workflow captures webpage details into a ClickUp task:

  • Step 1: Get current page details - Bardeen retrieves the URL of the currently opened tab in your browser.
  • Step 2: Extract page content - It then fetches the HTML content of the page, preparing it for summary extraction.
  • Step 3: Convert HTML to text - The HTML content is converted into text format to facilitate the summarization process.
  • Step 4: Summarize text content - Using OpenAI, a concise summary of the text is generated. You'll need to specify the level of summary detail you prefer.
  • Step 5: Compile task information - The title and summary are combined with the page URL to create a comprehensive task description.
  • Step 6: Create the ClickUp task - Finally, a new task with the compiled information is created in your chosen ClickUp list.
